Storyline:
Even after more than five decades, the death of India’s former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri remains clouded with mystery. During the 1965 Indo-Pak war, India’s had established its military capability under the leadership of Shastri and the United Nations passed a resolution demanding that both the countries agree to sign a ceasefire agreement. At this time, India’s ally Russia offered to mediate the negotiations and so, in Tashkent (then in Russia), Lal Bahadur Shastri and the then Pakistani Prime Minister Ayub Khan signed a peace agreement putting an end to the 17-day war, which came to be known as Tashkent agreement.
