Storyline:

Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega, Netflix’s first India original of 2020 says a riveting tale of a sleepy district of Jharkhand that emerged as the biggest den of digital crime a few years ago. Directed by Soumendra Padhi, the crime thriller is about how a lucrative phishing business run by school dropouts grabs the attention of a politician, law enforcement agency and media. The story intrigues the viewers as it is based on true incidents that happened in Jamtara in 2015-2016.

The story begins with how a group of young boys whose educational qualification is hardly Class V pass, trick people off huge sums of money by impersonating bank officials and getting them to share their card numbers and OTPs. The whole nexus has as mastermind two cousins, Rocky and Sunny. While Rocky aspires to be a politician, Sunny, the one who majorly plans and plots these dubious transactions, wants to be the richest man of Jamtara. However, where money is involved, politics can’t fall behind.
